The City of Red Deer is reviewing the proposed Bower Woods Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan (NASP), a long-range planning document that will guide the development of this new residential neighbourhood.
What is being proposed?
- A new neighbourhood for approximately 1,800 residents
- Low, medium, and high-density housing options
- A 10-acre commercial site to serve the local area
- Extensive green space, with 37.9% of the area dedicated to open space
- Trail connections to the Waskasoo Park system and a proposed pedestrian bridge over Piper Creek
- Preservation of natural features, including Environmental and Municipal Reserve dedications
- Space set aside for a potential future extension of Molly Banister Drive
